In line with its on-going commitment to decarbonise the existing built environment, UK building services and renewables investment group, United Capital, has announced its partnership with CO2nstructZero to lead the green building revolution.

CO2nstructZero is the Construction Leadership Council’s (CLC) initiative to ensure construction and facilities management businesses play a bigger role in helping decarbonise Britain’s built environment. Partner businesses are asked to support, and champion the framework, which sets out nine priorities under three key areas; transport, buildings, and construction activity.

In addition to providing feedback, support, and participation in the initiative, United Capital will task its group businesses with becoming accredited Business Champions by showcasing the great steps they are taking to address sustainability issues in their own operating procedures.

Speaking of partnering with CO2nstructZero, United Capital CEO Graeme Carling commented; “As a group of businesses we understand the enormity of the climate change challenge, and we are committed to playing our part. Our operational businesses have already made significant steps to decarbonise own offices and operations, making our companies more sustainable, however we want to support more of our clients to deliver their own renewables and eco projects. We are proud of our efforts and commitment, and our partnership with CO2nstructZero makes that commitment visible to the industry and wider public.”
